The story
Three years in the making. Popularity started life as a very different game — after our first project, Art of Murder, was shelved when the pandemic hit, we built THIS IS REALITY 2000 for Zoom instead. Once we wanted something physical again, the spirit of rivalry and creativity from both of those became Popularity: find out the true social pecking order among friends and foes. Popularity is published and distributed by Imagination Gaming, and is also sold on TikTok Shop.

Or ever feel like socialising is hard work? Inspired by Truth or Dare, Uno, Snakes & Ladders and a dash of Cards Against Humanity, Popularity is all about making socialising fun again.
We've combined all these in a game with plenty of guaranteed memorable moments. Designed to be played by any group… best friends, family, colleagues, or people you've just met… Popularity helps get people chatting and making memories. Whether you choose to play it sweet or spicy, there's no need to make it personal! The game is all about creating your own drama: alliances, betrayals, laughter and outrage. Every time you play is different and depends on your group and personalities.
Whatever happens, you'll all be (even) better friends at the end! After three years of development, and with over 500 people having play-tested the game, Popularity is out in the world.

How to win.
The Hero
You'll only be playing Blue Action cards, using all the opportunities to get people on side. People will adore you so much, they'll be delighted when you reach the Height of Popularity first. What a love-in!The Wallflower
Cause no trouble and store up those Reaction cards for a final leap to the top when everyone is least expecting it, with a massive sequence that will turn your -10 into a +20.The Villain
Take people down a peg or two and become the object of everyone's fury. Just as you're languishing at the bottom of the board, land on a Twist of Fate to swap places with the most popular player and leap to victory!The Traitor
Oh, thought they could trust you? Fools! Take advantage of others' faith in you only to turn on them when they least expect it.The Troublemaker
See that alliance blossoming? Do everything you can to split it up and reap the rewards. Divide and rule!The Chancer
You'll actively try to land on as many Twist of Fate spaces as you can and cross your fingers. Let the others do the hard work.The Drama Queen
